A disability is a functional limitation caused by a condition, while a disorder is a medical or psychological condition that can lead to a disability:

Disability

A physical or mental impairment that makes it harder to do certain activities, such as walking, speaking, learning, or working. Disabilities can be visible or invisible.

Disorder

A medical or psychological condition that deviates from typical functioning. Disorders are often diagnosed based on specific criteria.

While disorders can lead to disabilities, not all disabilities are caused by disorders. For example, cerebral palsy is a physical disability that’s not a psychological or neurological disorder.

A disorder is a functional abnormality or disturbance, and a disability is any condition of the body or mind that makes it more difficult for the person with the condition to do certain activities. A medical condition is a broad term that includes all diseases and disorders.

Disability: A disability is a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, such as walking, speaking, learning, or working. Disabilities can be visible, like a person who uses a wheelchair or has a hearing impairment, or invisible, like someone with autism or dyslexia.

Disorder: A disorder refers to a medical or psychological condition that deviates from typical functioning, often diagnosed based on specific criteria. While disorders can lead to disabilities, not all disabilities are the result of disorders. For instance, an individual with cerebral palsy may have a physical disability, but this condition is not a psychological or neurological disorder.
